DEVTOBER Refelction


Well, this is a post mortem for Devtober. Lets start by talking about what went right, the demo is functional, you can get through it without issue. On that point, using RPGMaker MZ, it posed a new challenge that I did not tackle, working around the autosave. With autosave enabled I ran into some issues continuing the game at certain points, this was because I had movement routes set to attempt to run even when the character could not move I found an easy way to keep track of bugs (temporarily), I created a google doc with the bugs in question, and where they were in the game, and how to trigger the bug.  Now onto what went wrong. Time management. While I had a whole month to work on this project, I ended up putting it to the side, because of my schedule. Because of this, I made a really short demo with assets that go unused.
